HD 490 PRO + FiiO K13 R2R – A Mixing Desk Centre

Sennheiser's current open-back studio reference with a DAC/amp that also runs your monitors. The K13 R2R has balanced XLR and RCA pre-outs, so headphones and speakers share one volume knob. One order.

In This Setup

  • Sennheiser HD 490 PRO – open-back dynamic drivers, 130 ohm, two switchable ear pad sets (Producer and Mixing), up to 128 dB SPL, detachable cable with 6.3 mm adapter.
  • FiiO K13 R2R – fully differential 24-bit R2R ladder DAC, up to 2 400 mW balanced into 32 ohm, dual USB-C, optical, coax, Bluetooth 5.4 LDAC, XLR and RCA pre-outs.

Why This Combination

  • Headphones and monitors: the pre-outs feed active speakers from the same box.
  • Two voicings: swap the HD 490 PRO pads for producing or mixing.
